Hi.

Come for the book reviews, stay for the ..book reviews.

The Idea of You by Robinne Lee

Did you ever love a boy band? Did you ever dream about a romance with a boy band member?

The Idea of You by Robinne Lee takes that idea...and turns it upside down. Solène Marchand is a 39 year old divorcee living in Los Angeles. She's recently divorced. She is wrangled into taking her 11 year old daughter, Isabelle, to Las Vegas to meet her favorite boy band.

Solène and Isabelle meet the band, August Moon, and the handsome....and 20 year old, Hayes Campbell. Solène can't help but flirt with Hayes. He's young, but oh, so attractive. He's a thinly veiled version of Harry Styles.

Solène and Hayes begin a secret relationship that travels to New York, Paris, Italy and Japan. They spend hours getting to know each other, and hours getting to know each other's bodies. It's a sex book, y'all. This isn't, like.... Fifty Shades of Beige...it's an adult woman having a relationship with a sexy, very very sexy barely adult man.

The story, itself, is rather glamorous. There's expensive clothes, penthouse suites, fancy restaurants. There's screaming teenages, an ex-husband, a jealous bandmate. But there's also real feelings and heartbreak.

Also, this book came out in 2017 but I don't care because I loved it.
